Created my first painting since college, Diamonds & Pearls, for the Hymns to Hip-Hop: The Unsung Harmony of the Black Music Experience at The Black History Museum of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. The show ran from June 2025 through summer and featured artists tackling representation through black history through music. My era was, of course, hip hop. I decided to present how adornment is a prevalent feature in black culture and especially within hip hop.
